Paws-I-Trip (PIT) Stainless Steel Notched Sloped Rod Replacement Dogs
Paws-I-Trip (PIT) Stainless Steel Notched Sloped Rod Replacement Dogs fit a variety of dog-on style traps as well as traps incorporating the Paws-I-Trip (PIT) pan tension systems. These dogs are manufactured from stainless steel rod with a lifetime guarantee against any animal damage. They come with a sloped, machined notched end (Night Latch) having a 1/32" lip distance for the pan to rest on in the trap's set position. This distance minimizes pan creep, keeps it consistent, and creates an audible set point as is typical with all PIT triggers. Conventional dogs are made of wide flat stock alloy metal. Because of a larger exposed surface on conventional dogs compared to rod dogs, damage will always be a concern with conventional dogs -- not the case with these PIT Sloped Rod Replacement Dogs. These dogs are available in several different lengths and have sloped ends.
