Topo U.S. includes terrain contours, topo elevations, summits, parks, coastlines, rivers, lakes and geographical points. Coverage includes topographic detail of the entire United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
The Garmin Topo U.S. Map for your Garmin GPS unit is sold in two ways -- on a DVD or as a pre-programmed datacard.
The DVD format requires a computer to use but will allow you to plan trips on your computer and transfer waypoints, routes and tracks to your GPS unit. The installation process installs the mapping and the MapSource application to your computer. MapSource can then be used to send the map to either your GPS unit or to a datacard.
The pre-programmed datacard format is immediately ready to use. Simply unpack the card and insert it into your compatible GPS unit.
