Revenge Snap Traps for Rats feature kiln dried wooden bases with large professional bait pedals. They are easier to set than those with metal pedals. Revenge recommends you first put down the trap unset with bait. Rats are shy and you need to convince them they will not get hurt. Once they have eaten the bait a few times, rebait and set the trap and you will have good results.

A pest control professional gave Revenge another good tip: In garages and out buildings, nail the trap to the wall vertically 3" off the floor with the bait pedal on the end opposite the floor. Rats will have to stretch up on their hind legs to get the bait and this reduces their mobility and ensures your catch.

This trap is effective for use in eliminating rats and other similarly sized animals such as squirrels, chipmunks and weasels.
