Blackie's Blend Tail Slapper Lure Blackie's Blend Tail Slapper Lure triggers the strong territorial instincts of the larger adult beaver at castor mounds.  A wealth of northern beaver castor supplies the power base to Tail Slapper.  Blackie has blended in a couple aromatic oils, but it reeks of high grade castor.  On top of this, a minute amount of odorless waterproof base (not vaseline) is added to give it a stiff tack and make it weatherproof.  It's easy to see why beaver trappers with top credentials on the water use this uncommon lure.
